I come back after 3 day break and this happens: can't trade or sell items in auction. Why they do this??

Permit was introduced to filter bots, only new accounts need permit

They made this, To prevent selling golds/items via Real Life Money, You need 10days to get the 100 story tokens. This is the good updates i've ever seen

What determines a new account? The time it's been created? If so how long ago? Whas the time period?

From the Weekly Update:
2) Trading/ Gifting/ Consignment Shop Access. Starting today, any character that wants to use the trade, gift, or use the consignment shop must have the Arlor Trader’s Permit. These permits cost 100 Story Tokens, which require 10 days of running Story Quests from the Wandering Minstrel, who is located scattered around Arlor. The good news for all of you is that if you have an account that was created before 4/7/16 you have already been granted this Trader’s Permit.

But i have an account created before 7 april, but i created a new character and it needs a permit. Wut?

Your account was probably made at the correct time, but your character may have been made after the update. Sorry :/

Every round of bot banning means they have to come back and do the story token quests, which they cannot bot (easily). So lots of time investment and 7-10 days later... The likelihood is the bots will go find easier prey.

This is not all true i made a new alt got to level 30 something and i could use consignment shop and trade so you do not need to spend 10 days waiting.

Do people just search up old threads to comment on?

The permit applies to the account, if your account played on AL before a certain day (forgot exact date), you're automatically granted a trade permit, else you have to do 10 days worth of stories for enough tokens to buy the permit
