Vanity Shields appears with a 1H weapon on only.

You need a free hand to hold a shield. When they first came out, the shield showed up and looked all wonky. They "fixed" it so it only shows when using 1h weapons now.
Maybe one day they'll make the shield show up on your back if using 2h weapons, but who knows...
Actually, this makes sense. Sorry, didn't think it through until now. Lol.
Vanity helms appear even if the helmet slot is empty, so same goes for shields. Slow of me not to notice. Time for sleep.
