The low amount of items per house really limits the creativity. I enjoy using pieces in unique ways and overlapping items...I quickly hit max and can't even buy more slots.

Also...consider rent is paid by month. This allows for 4 weekly estate quests & a month of story token collecting. This will at least seem more reasonable. Otherwise, it's cover charge time.
