Kind of depends on where you are. And the blue (or purple) depending on your point of view, items are "Epic". "Legendary" items are pink. Yanis, tireless seeker of rarities and nifty items) has put together some guides showing the items' names, stats, where and who drops them and links to pics of them. Here's a few to get you started. Note that these are lists of Legendary (pink) items only. Blues (purples) or Epic items are pretty common.

Don't expect to find many legendary items in Forest Haven or Dark Forest. They just don't drop, really. I know it says they should, but they don't. You'd be better served buying a lottery ticket.

But Balefort does drop legendary items. If you are high enough level, use the Hidden Grate outside the castle where Zyla Doom and her henchtrolls respawn. A few hours in there and you will certainly have some pinks to use or sell.

Also the elite content for that level, WildWood, drops pinks fairly often.
