when will there be shields be in star legends

Ok I don't even know if I'm in the right forum but whatever. So I was wondering, while looking at my invetory I clicked on shields an it was empty . Its been a while since the game has been out and I would like to see some shields in the game. It would be cool, and there would actually be a point of using a pistol/heavy pistol. So I would like to ee what u guys suggest ...

There is most deffintly a reason to use shields... more defense and it would probably update more of ur stats... and ppl use two hand weps cause there are no shields..

Some one hand guns are very close to being as good as dual. Pair with a shield and could have some nice combos.

Thats what ive been trying to say the whole time.... i use the scapper..., combine that with a shield, and my armor is already 349, with the shield it would prob be like a little over 400

Edit: ah yes I remember asking a dev the exact same thing, Sam I think. He Checked some files or something, and reported that currently shields are not available in game (as of lv20 cap).
But that a good example was the holoshield we got in PL.
