Its not infinite, if you wait long enough it will say, "Sever is in maintenance" or "Can't connect to server".
It only means 3 things:
1. Server side connection is having problems (it can't be the case since most players are not having loading issues)
2. Client side (your device) is having problems, it can be memory, hardware, software or connectivity issues.
3. Your ISP (internet service provider) is having trouble, or your on the farside area of the wifi (if your using wifi) or farside of the antennae your connected with (if using mobile), or a strong interference occured near you or the infamous cat messing with your router cables.
