About elondrian ward

So today i bought a ward and upgrade it to light version. But light version is disappointed although it give more damage bonus. In the normal ward, boss cant 'root' my self but boss can stun me as well. But, the light version didnt even protect my self from boss rooting. Is this a bug? Or yea.. i need buy another normal ward n keep this light version to keep my self protected from root and have an extra dmg.

It's called an "upgrade," so there's a good chance that it's an error. If not, that just isn't cool because nowhere is that made clear to the player.
