Thread: Immortal Corruption Daggers vs. Immortal Corruption Bow Analysis

    Default Immortal Corruption Daggers vs. Immortal Corruption Bow Analysis

    So, after owning both, I've done some extensive testing with both and would like to help other players come to a conclusion with their weapons.

    First of, the dagger has 136 more armor and about 100 more damage over the bow. However, the bow makes up for that with its extremely powerful auto attack. The attack hits at 200% damage, so it will hit very hard on mobs and boss. Essentially, it's like having a mini aimed shot always on tap. I've also noticed the bow procs more frequently when compared to the dagger's proc rate.

    How to Effectively Use Creeping Death:
    When your character procs creeping death, a green glow will appear over your head. This green glow will last some amount of time before disappearing. During this time, your basic attacks will do percent health damage. So, the best way to work this is charge auto attack and tap aim until the green glow wears off. If you do it correctly, each proc should result in more than 30% of boss HP taken off.

    The dagger has a great heal proc & the damage reduction of the proc is 40-50% with it lasting for 6-7 seconds. The pulses do around 700 damage and whatever damage is done is given back as heal (3 pulses in total).

    All in all, I prefer the bow. The reason being is as a rogue, we do our job best by focusing damage. This is best done with the bow. However, in times where I need a bit of extra survivability, I would switch to daggers.

    On topic: Thanks for guide, though I notice that the bow proc wasn't mentioned all that besides that it procs more?

    It was not what i was thinking. I thought the arcane bow will be god like in pvp and elites. But as far as i know. Zeus had a duel with mohoks just so mohoks can show uswhat arcane bow can do to op pvp tank, as there were lies spreading over as the arcane bow can break a warrior's jugg. But the result was 1-3. Mohoks won without using new arcane weapon for war. What can u think as per i think.. the bow is super op in guild clash as a rogue can just stand back letting wars go in and wait for proc. And again nekro sheild can make them even better. So bow is good but not the best. peace

    That's the bow, first arcane rarity bow, it's shoudnt have so low dmg, even compared with underhul leggendary 56lvl the dmg lower, it's just not serious. I understand maybe sts deliver all attention on proc but that's not fun at all

    Also praying for productive comment from U our dear developers , explain why this weapons go with this mechanic, means why so big diff on stats and proc, will be much thankfull and respective for this move

    Both. The bow is very effective on boss. If you can afford both, get both and swap. However if you can only choose one then choose the bow as you can use dragon slayer daggers to clear faster than the new daggers can.

    46 ones atacks are slower
    56 ones skill damage basic atack damage and proc hits harder than 46

    Interesting. I guess it depends on the frequency of the proc. However I'd dare say that the 35% armour of the old arcane daggers might offset the difference in skill damage + plus we have the cc, which makes the elite Underhul maps somewhat playable. Well I will wait for more info. Thanks for your input though

    I went pve many times those lazy' rogues juat use speed set and bow shoot from far and damage is bow show how good to use a bow making people think they are putting effort....

    The flameforged mythic daggers are imho and in the opinion of most people I know unusable in PvE. Can't comment on their usefulness in pvp

    They were useful before speed set. After speed set came, there was not really a use for them.

    I replaced my old arcane dagger 46 by arcane bow 56, I no see great damage in proc. What I noticed is that it immobilizes (not stuns) some types of enemies with a skull on the ground. It has good statistics, but the proc is still the rogue defense skill in PVE.
