Getting to 56 was a pain and not it'll take incredibly longer to reach 61. Many will pass because it's way to monotonous killing the same things over and over.

Yeah that's my guess, I remember asommers saying that 60-61 will definitely be something to remember.practically will take almost double as long as from 55-56. from 60-61 will be around ~130k XP! have fun!
Also, if the new PL map is anything like some of the SL maps, it may require more than just killing monsters to complete. Like in SL, that explosive/laser type map that required a bit of teamwork and puzzle-solving to finish, or that one map where you need to lure those fire things to the cage.
So imagine if all the maps in the new campaign had some sort of twist to slow down leveling =/ I doubt it though, and someone will find a way around it
Most people who bother to go to 56 will go to 61 plat or not.

I will go for 61 on my main. I won't use many elixers, though. I got to 56 using very few and will do the same to 61.
