Portal to jarl spawns in town

hellu today i was in outpost checking auction and then i saw that message "portal closing in 30s" and when i got out of cs there was a portal in the middle of the town and players rushed into it lol
How is that possible? Maybe they killed the mob spawned by a grand cake? Or what lol
