My thoughts on Jarl Event

So it's almost 2am here with only hours left in the event, and I've been farming Jarl continuously for almost a week now and I never saw a single tavern deed drop. My best loot finally happened tonight which was a Sorc smelly helm which is a nice souvenir from the event Overall, I thought the event was well thought out and drop balance was good since it didn't tank the prices of the houses, and it made the loot worthwhile if you happened to loot anything which makes many people want to run. Best part? It was FREE! We all will be winning after this event no matter what since we don't have to pay upkeep anymore which would have added to the price of taverns several times over.

What I enjoyed was that I never had any problems finding people to run with in PUG KT4 when guildies weren't available. People knew the system well where 2 and 2 would run both left and right side together and then when a portal spawned, people would invite you to a party to go there together rather than leaving people behind to fend for themselves. Only a few times did people leave in the last few seconds just before a big mob was pulled towards the door. "HODOR" term was used quite a bit such that one person would hold off the mobs just so one could enter which was very awesome seeing teamwork from random players

It was nice to be able to see your gold continually go up slowly even if you ran countless times with "still painting" drops just to pay for potions, pet feed or what not. Hey, some of those paintings are actually worth 300-500g at liquidation price!!! I was able to level a few pets to cap during this event, and surprisingly looted quite a few locked on runs where portals didn't spawn. Arcane deary powered up with the luck pets made the event more fun with Deary Island bonus rounds which kept things interesting over the course of repeating KT4 (yes I looted 1 dreaded Deary ring as well).

My favorite thing about this event were the Smelly Helms which look absolutely awesome on the rogues and warriors! They are the original artwork when AL first came out but with smelly green gas! Ironically the LB Goblin Gas masks should have had these visuals, but i'm happy these have it instead! I thought the sorcerer helm would have followed the Elite Journeyman style, but it's true to the original artwork (looks like a purple fish hat)! Anyways, very much appreciate the Gold pile vanities as well as the free plat furniture like breakfast tables as loot drops. Furniture and house slots as drops were absolutely appreciated and one could argue the best part of the event

Smelly helms are awesome. It was a cute surprise and for once I don't mind wearing something "ugly" aka dirty diaper hat

I loved this event too! I could log on for a few minutes and still do the event. It was great! I stocked up on furnitire inventory and house slots. I got some elite aps and leveled a bunch of pets. It was great!
