You might want to look at blasters, they're just like crossbows, but with a different projectile and a different look. Void armor is best for archers.

If you have money, I'd try to buy:

Jacob's Helm of the Void
Mega Blaster of the Void
Wraith Armor of the Void

If you have time, and can do quests:

Cyber Skull of the Void
Cyber Blaster of the Void
Cyber Armor of the Void

They're nearly on par, and these quests are given you to by a randomly spawning NPC called "...?..." in Crush the Keeper. You need to be level 50 to get the quests.

Best blaster or set for 50 is the Sentinel Death Set

Sentinel Shotgun of Death is the gun you want.

For my bird it wasn't worth it to buy death set. I went from 50-55 in the same day so void was good enough for me. But yes, nothing is quite as fun as death set

The top of the line level fifty crossbow class weapon and leather-like armor is the Sentinel (i.e., Death) Shotgun set. It's pretty pricey, although less so recently.
