    Default Question about Arcane Shield and Nekro's Shield

    Hey folks

    This my first thread, n i have a question about Arcane Shield n Nekro's Shield, are they stackable? since i haven't got Nekro, i really want to know about this, and if both stackable, does anyone knows about the calculation?

    No they don't stack use one after the other. And it's six or seven seconds between nekro shields

    I thought those stackable, because when i cast Arcane Shield n my party member cast Nekro's Shield on the same time, the shield color looks like blended

    Arcane shield is stronger, so I always use that first, and then nekro's shield after. If you time it right, you will only be without a shield for a second or two after nekro's shield expires until you can recast arcane shield.

    peww as it was loading i thought well here starts drams with another mage nerf thread XD and no they are not if you are doing a duel mage vs mage use your nekros shield first and then your real shield after he shields or in between complex strategy for pve i found that the moste usefull way i like yo use it is at the start with the speed it gives to fastly speed and trow a fire ball for great deal of stunthen after words shield

    I was put some skill point on shield masteries,but they nerf elite map now so I don't think shield masteries is a must for pve,I've put materies on gale and time shift (I only use gale on boss in elite).

    @justhell : can u tell me tips to use gale on boss? coz i only use gale to move fast

    Speed does help a lot against bosses, it lets you run away from red zones, well, faster. The mastery is also useful when they stun and slow you down (having them chase you while you're desperately crawling away is quite panicking xD).
    The thing that bugs me is that you're pretty much using 2 damaging skills, assuming you're using shield too, as you have to aim towards the boss (plus doesn't deal much damage, I think).

    @Vvildfire : yes sir, i use lightning + fireball + shield + gale
    but i use gale only to move fast, not even fully charged because i'll bounce if i charge it. so if we put some mastery on gale, will this gale able to debuff without fully charged?

    Since we're on the topic, what exactly does Nekro's AA do? Is it just armor and speed boost?

    My gale upgrade is (speed and armor) and spend skill point on masteries till u get 2 sec immune to negative status.

    - I used to use hex staff on boss,so after wildfire proc active and stack I used charged gale to avoid boss (wildfire proc + stack agro mobs badly).

    So first get closed to boss - then charged shield - spaming normal attack (tap/charged) - when proc active and stack used charged gale to make some space with boss - next I used fireball and lightning to attack boss from distance - after arc shield cd done then I repeat it till boss die. (Only work well if u use hex staff) Hehehe

    About why only speed and armor on upgrade skill :

    1. I can't see benefit on convert to area and stun upgrade on boss.

    2. Boost armor 50% for 4 sec is OP,let said u have 1600 armor with this upgrade it will boost ur armor to 2400,which is save me many times from deadly situation.

    3. About speed boost,the dash thing on this upgrade also help me a lot to avoid boss red zone attack. And the speed boost part help me to keep the distance from boss while I spaming skill.

    - For masteries it help me a lot againts boss deadly negative status or DoT (especially againts jardis pool and cryo elite minions pool).

    I used wildfire proc to cover my lack of attack skill. That proc is more than enough to cover my lack of attacking skill,especialy when it stack. Hehehehe...

    Yes it will give u immunity from negative status and pool DoT even on uncharged version.

    wow, i've never concerned that gale has good advantages, thought this one only for moving fast
    now i get interested to use gale, i will respec my mage skill, will u give me advice about skill point distribution for active+passive+mastery sir???

    - passive : max INT, max STR, max DMG
    - mastery : max fireball, max timeshift

    - Fireball (1,2,3)
    - Frost bolt (1,2,3)
    - Lightning (1,2,3)
    - Gale (2,3)
    - Shield (1,3,4)
    - Time shift (3,4)
    - Lifegiver (2)

    PASSIVE :

    - Knowledge (max)
    - Agility (max)
    - Might (max)
    - Crit (max)

    MASTERIES :

    - Gale (5)
    - Time shieft (6)

    For stat point : 300 int and 30 str.

    Elite underhul :
    Fireball/Frost/Time/Shield

    Elite glintstone :
    Fireball/Light/Time/Shield

    KM 3 :
    Fireball/Gale/Time/(Heal or Shield)

    Planar tomb :
    (Fireball or Frost)/Light/Time/Shield

    PS : I used immo staff (for minions) and Hex staff (for boss).

    All skill (active/passive/masteries) is good,none of them is useless (it's all depend on how u play and what u want). Ussually I farm in few diferent map,so I need to rotate active skill (depend on what more effective for the map that I farm on). That's why I choose to spend my skill point more on active skill and just pick passive and masteries skill that I really need.

    Last is Elite map more easy now,since they nerf elite map when run with 3 or 4 ppl,so I think I don't need more dmg for kill mob faster. (especialy when u used immo or hex staff)

    PS : I'm not LB time run or fast run type player,just ordinary player who looking for fun. (Last time I run in SG elite with mage with lepre on and blight pet xD that's chalanging). And just advised u should try ur own build that's more fun. Hehehe...

    Question about nekro AA shield : Is its damage reduction based on the pet's damage? If so then is slotting a Nekro AA into another pet going to weaken its shield?
