I want to change my name to a old ign i used before.
I want to rename it, but some are saying there are people using macros to get names which are deleted?
Is it save to change my name? It will probably take me 2-3 seconds if im fast.
Zzzzz why is this getting ridiculous,nowadays people cant even change their name without worries

As long as no one knows your old ign, they can't "snipe it"
As for the people using macro, they just constantly spam "create" with a certain names and hope it'll be a hit.

So, if no one knows/is targeting your ign, you should be safe

I honestly would not even try to change names for at least a month...im have no doubt there are ppl with macros spamming names they want.so no i wouldnt change names for a bit...

i wanted to rename my old mage back to "Boo" yesterday and i lost it. My conclusion. NO ITS NOT SAVE.

alto i sendend support a email i really hope they can restore it. so i won't try to rename atm. or send support a email if they can't put some kind of safety on it..

I change one of my character name into hopes with 1 device xD its only about 1minutes and no one took it yet.

Before telling bullsh*t like that, you should be aware people have more than one toon and i would like to use my Endgame name on my twink.

I feel super lucky...days ago before it was announced...

I was having fun in GC by PMing friends from crazy new made igns...
Suddenly idea popped to try my dream ign of dbz and kaaboooommm I got it \o/

But this macro thing is scary... I would wait for months (cos no plats either :P)

Not buying igns because 1) I'm not rich 2) i don't care about IGNs because your skills represent your name, that's btw the reason why I want to use my endgame name on my twink because everybody knows me at that name.

I can think of a couple reasons why one would wait a few days before deciding to change name

-You got a name later than most (maybe it's not a top notch name, not a 3-letter name, not a 1-word name, or maybe it somehow eluded the frantic name grabbing from the first few hours)
-You wanted to wait and see if the original owner came to reclaim it a bit later than others (you may want to wait for a few months in this case)
-You couldn't decide which name you wanted on your main toon/your new twink
-You couldn't decide whether you wanted to give up your current name (I know it may sound silly, but there's some sentimental attachment to your name... You know?)
-You were afraid many people were still trying to get names out of this and would get yours in the short span it takes to switch
-You were afraid of these macro people and couldn't decide whether it was worth the risk, ultimately asking the forums for opinions (and you may want more than a couple answers)

I've been plagued by some of these and in the end, I think I'll just keep my name not the best but all other names look wrong when I play with them xD
