Star Legends Contest! Numa Speedway!

Ladies & Gentlemen, start your jetpacks!

What is it?
I have paid off Cycorp to halt all mining activity on Friday, September 23rd, so that I may host the first ever NPRA (Numa Prime Racing Association) sanctioned event in Cycorp Mining Fields.

Rules:
You start on the yellow rock at the start of Numa Prime: Cycorp Mining Fields, and finish upon touching the big purple rock at the end of the map where Rebel Yell usually is. LEARN THE MAP TO WIN! Also, I will clear the map except for one enemy prior to racing. The leftover enemy will be out of the way of the race, DO NOT KILL HIM or it counts as an interference and disqualification, since the next level screen will block everyone's view.

There will be someone at the beginning who will say "Ready, set, GO!" once everyone is in position, and I will be waiting at the end watching for the winner. If it is too close to judge, a sudden death race between the tying contestants will be held immediately following their race. If someone jumps the gun, they get one free restart, and then a disqualification if done again. I will be timing from when starter says "go!" till they touch the rock, and I will be timing it with an actual stopwatch.

NO elixirs allowed, any who use will be disqualified from all future NPRA events. You may however, use the yellow turbo boosts placed around the map, in fact, it's encouraged, as you probably don't stand a chance if you don't grab at least a few. This is why I chose this map to race on. Be aware that a good racer can snag most of them during a run, so it's important to get a good start.

There will be at least 3 people on the map, a starter, a finish line witness, and 1 racer per heat. We want this to be as fair as possible. Final race will be held on a map with no turbos, and all 3 finalists will be present.

All entries have a deadline of Friday morning at 8:00 am mountain time. I get off work at 5 pm and will start the contest at 6pm. To allow for timezone differences, I will host the heats till saturday night. Final race will be held on Sunday, at a time viable for all 3 finalists. I will be standing in the map PMing the contestants when it's their turn to race. If you are not online when I call your number, don't worry, I'll make sure everyone gets to race as long as they are on at some point before Sunday. I will be keeping track of who raced who, finish times, and heat winners. The top three heat times will advance to the finals. Contestants must add me in game so I can call on you!

And lastly, if anyone has a sketchy ping, plays on 3g/4g/edge, or has a laggy phone, you enter at your own risk. No pouting about ping after the race, state your ping when you enter the map, and I will keep record. Any serious ping spikes or disconnects will permit a restart. Any unsportsmanlike behaviour will get this: "lulz" *ignore* *boot* and be disqualified from all future events.

1st place prize wins a Mechanical Man Helm, worth +200k, 30,000 credits, and the title "Fastronaut" as your custom forum rank!
2nd place wins 65k
3rd place wins 45k
4th place wins 25k
Donations will be accepted until Thursday night, 9:00pm Mountain time, and dispersed amongst the prizes.

I have tons of practice with that level lol...When I was doing quests, Ikept dying there and used those speed boosts to get to the team really fast!

That's cool, as long as you dont run together in the heats. If all three of you make it into the final, I would hope the grand prize is good enough to keep it competitive and honest. I might restrict it to 3 members max from each guild if it gets out of hand. With that said, AoC would be maxed already, so I'll be paying more attention to whos in what guild. Ty.

Uh is the creator of this Topic a Dev? Or did he just pay the game Devs to do this? I dislike racing but I just wanted to put up a concern.

Yes, you can join Supa, and Evl, I don't need anyones permission to host a contest, it's just for fun, although I have sent Samhayne a PM asking if they want to get in on it. You don't have to enter if you don't want to.
