At endgame people push rog out because they want to stack oter classes to win since they can survive a lot longer while dealing enough damage thanks to uber-procs and so on.
Recently there was a drama on forum about rogue balance in PVP. Multiple people were giving ideas on how to improve rogue in PVP at endgame. But certain people thought rogue is good enough and some time later devs announced they wont be making any tweaks.
