BCA Support Challenge!!!
October is well known for Halloween. STS did a great job last year in giving us a fun little event to participate in and even had a Trick or Treat quest. There is another thing in October that folks participate in. It's Breast Cancer Awareness month. It is a little known fact that it affects BOTH MALE AND FEMALE! Yes males can get it too. According to the National Cancer Institute:
Estimated new cases and deaths from breast cancer in the United States in 2011:
New cases: 230,480 (female); 2,140 (male)
Deaths: 39,520 (female); 450 (male)
I have family and friends affected by this so I have a challenge for you all. I challenge you to put away your fancy helms and vanities and wear the Pink Cowgirl Hat for the entire month of October to show your support. If the NFL, the manliest of all sports, can wear pink cleats and gloves then why can't we? It is only 5 platsJoin me and my guild members. Show your support!!!
