I'll list the pros and cons of using both

    Immortal

    pros:

    1. Instant Banish no fuss
    2. More HP, damage (not important but is a plus), armor and 1 extra awakening slot.
    3. 4 Immortal Staff mages in party can clear any higher floor fast and fewer deaths (tested by me and guildies/friends).

    cons:

    1. Costlier compared to Flame forged.
    2. Can't banish bigger mobs.
    3. Needs at least 2 mobs for the proc to work.
    4. Proc unreliable sometimes (but gets the job done most of the time).
    5. Proc not that good in lower floors.

    Flame Forged

    pros:
    1. Cheap
    2. Comes in 4 variations
    3. 1 mob is enough for the weapon to proc but the weapon really shines against big pulls.

    cons:
    1. High chance to get cursed and die.
    2. Low HP, armor and damage (damage not important tbh).
    3. 3 awakening slots.
    4. Not that good in higher floors against big pulls, takes time to kill them.
    5. 4 Flame Forged Staff mages in party is quite frankly not that impressive (Tested by me and friends/guildies).

It's upto u to decide, at one point I kept both handy. I used Flame Forged from Maus 1-3 and then switch to Immortal in Maus 4-5. Later I decided to keep using Immortal and part ways with Flame Forged, never regretted.

Flame staff simply best for large pull imo, two flame mages make for some extreme, lag inducing PROC ACTION!!!!

The Immortal Staff has almost no FPS but it's not as good as Flame Staff in big pulls.. flame Staff can attack way more targets than Immortal Staff can.. but the only negative thingy about flame staff.. once it starts to proc and multiple procs Will stack.. u might het FPS problems.. but in general the flame Staff is very cheap and useful..

1flame Staff and 1Immortal Staff is best in m1-5 runs if u got 2mages in a pt

Dragon Staff is the most useful against bosses.. except against Bael, Bael spawns multiple mobs a time which can effect the proc of dragon staff, flame proc will continuosly proc nonstop and Will also hit the new spawned mobs.. maybe it also works at ferrix.. but not sure

For all other bosses drag Staff is the best..

    Good luck ^-^

immo & also dragon for boss.
I think ppl are more impressed by how hex looks like it's doing more whereas the immo simply makes mobs disappear.
But honestly buying a dusk staff from ah with good awakenings is a good alternative. Mine pretty much has the same stats as my friends balanced staff

Hex staff is the best for all five floors ...I've tested with Immo staff and it slowed my runs but I recommend you try out allege different staffs and find what fits your play style

Hex Staff's chain effect is good specifically directing towards the Mobs in Grave and Masoleum

Immo Staff is also great for a area effect damage on Mobs and even better on Bosses

It's really up and how you will enjoy doing Mausoleum runs which either weapons.
An outstanding Fire Chain Effect or a Area Effect that buffs you and your allies while damaging enemies within the area
They both in the Mausoleum feel almost the same. Go with one you'll enjoy with your gameplay

Depends on who you run with.. in my opinion hex is useless on gy and m1. Mobs die to fast for wildfire to do anything, same with immo, so dusk staff if running with good pt.. in m2 it dont really do much difference, dusk immo or hex. M3 and m4 hex staffs wildfire have more time to work, so more usefull then dusk and immo.. and ofc swich to dragon on bosses..

While I agree Dusk can be more useful in Gy runs I have to disagree that Hex is more useful than Immortal but that's your opinion. Most people who have not used Immortal or not able to use it properly here is a tip: For Immortal to really work u need to pull 15-20 mobs at once and Immortal can't really work if mobs are all spread out, so I use Whimm/Swift AA to group them up and it takes 1-5 sec to kill them all, with wildfire it'll take about 7-10 secs to kill all of them.

For immo to even proc and do a banish it take way longer time then 5 sec, and no pull take longer in a good pt.. i own all of this weapons. But i know you play with shield and hybrid int/str build, so in youre case im sure immo more usefull

Immo is better cuz it totally banised the mobs on bigger pull, the problem in hex staff is when the round light purple(debuff) appears the proc was less dmg.

Immortal staff works very well with other DOT to banish i.e Timeshift / SNS pool / Drag sword process glow stik pool in large group. It takes me less time to kill mobs than mages with using hexstaff only.

Immortal staff stats is still on of the best PVE weapon for mage.
