Right off the bat let's begin with the Goblin Invasion that's become such a part and parcel of the average Arlorian's life that they actually look forward to this joke of an invasion. Bringing back with them the venomous items whose addiction is speed* the goblins have even found themselves a tailor in their Goliath(Gore-blin), whose been stitching the skins of his fallen comrades to make garments for his plebian underlings.
Unlike their hygienic cousins the orcs come more well prepared in the ext event. Which is the Elondrian Event, it has been reported that the orcs have been delving in blood magic again, under the guidance of the Shaman Bloodgrub.Talks of the legendary phoenix bird in the cold mountains of North has been linked to these gormless Orc kinden. Whether this heralds dragons and fire is nott known. What the Orcs lack in intelligence they more than make up for in zeal, expecting to see the Orcs returning with their immortal weaponry, which they had comfortably stolen from the Elondrian warmasters, to return with a few tweaks made to suit the orcs more brawny builds.
Sometime after another failed excursion by the orcs under the guidance of Bloodgrub, Corvis and his minions are expected to have finally managed to gain control of nott-so-undead. No longer restricted to their raggedly undead bodies. Corvis and his minions regaining their powers of yore means Arlorians have to turn to using the power of Set weaponry. They now turn to Wilbur who only divulges his esoteric secrets to a handful of Arlorians, who have unlocked the secrets of the full banished gear. What ensues next is Arlorians delving into the dark and dangerous underground city of the gnomes. Searching for lost artifacts and transcripts, Arlorians stumble across new pets and weaponry. Nott only do Arloirans have to unravel the secrets of the Set weaponry but keep the Nott-so-undead forces of the Lich Corvis at bay and defend the outpost, known to us as Somberholt, against the armies of the undead looking for host bodies.
As each body falling increases the toll on the Arlorians and strengthens the legions of the Lich Corvis, helps comes in the form of the Dragkin. Who have seen the corruption happening across Arlor. The shadowmancers who already corrupt have been strengthened, being able to instantly ressurect their allies who die around them. Witches who delve in the dark magic are able to summon more skeletons to fight alongside them, even being able to imbue them with the skills to wield bows and arrows! Even the Ice Giants of Nordr who had been dormant and docile(for their previous selves) have gained a sleight of their power of yore. Thought Elite maps were tough? wait till you have to battle the forces in a completely new difficulty!
With the arrival of the Dragkin the Somberholt templars and apostles are able to confine the Lich Corvis and send his forces back to whenst they cameth from. The Elondrian folk are able to cleanse and save their Sister Voriyana, who repentant and humbled decides to share knowledge about Dragons and Set weaponry which she had been withholding for herself.
With the undead forces stymied to their crypts, Arlorians must turn their attention to the countryside. Harvest almost being upon the world it is time to ameliorate the destruction of the orcs, expect some bucolic adventures ranging from resurrecting crops for the farmer^ to wrestling Mangoes from smelly trolls, you bold and mighty Arlorians.
The resuscitation of Corvises forces have left Death wanting for some of sacrifice for the powers above him**.
Finally to close down this year in a happy ending***, Arlorians should be expecting a new level of difficulty due to the vacuousness of the orcs, who had being their fatous+ selves, had imprisoned the spirit of the Phoenix bird who had been guarding Arlor from the brunt of the Forces of the Frost. Arlorians better get their best gear and read up on their dragkin-lore if they hope to find themselves a Dragkin companion who won't be expected to be seen again till next year.
A daunting year ahead for Arlorians, who a Nott hopes will welcome it. Learning to resurrect crops and staving off enemies of both Death and life will make for a very fruitful$ year. Unlocking secret weaponry, acquiring new pets and vanquishing an enemy(strengthened) a thousandfold times will no longer be tedious.
