No, this is normal.

The tactic is to stand by the green statue because that prevents the skeleton army from spawning. If you attempt to kite Ruger too far away from the statue, then the skeleton army is summoned and then things get really fun!

Nope, i know the strat.. But count how many captain rutger is there..

He can spawn up to four of himself during the fight, and replenish them up to 4 again I believe. How many you have to deal with will depend on how long you take to fight him, looks like a lot to cleanup!

I do this with rutger all the time haha. Usually I'm running with a group of pugs...most get killed then everyone leaves and I kite rutger around amassing a huge army of skeletons...it makes for a fun boss fight haha. I also enjoy fighting bloodhammer solo too though and most people can't stand him.

Obviously, not only Rutger has ability to clone himself. But It only doubled our green loot
