No gauntlet. Absolutely useless event for 98% of players. Note: This is only my opinion.
I hope it will never come. Most useless event if player doesn't play 20 hours a day just to get on lb. Normal players dont get anything from gauntlet.
I hope soon. Might not have time to make the LB this year but its a great free to run event that I have personally made alot of friends running. People like the guy above like to claim its "useless for 98%" of players but imo more players consistently run the gauntlet then any other event . 100 players for each class get rewarded banners, I mean c'mon how can anyone hate on that?Originally Posted by kronosdivine
I dont like it because you cant loot anything useful, i mean you only get the tokens which you can farm all the time. Imo you cant even call this an event, since it only adds a lb. I prefer maim event banners, they look more unique(mostly).

I understand that the gauntlet isn't very useful but hear me out. First off, its a pure free and hard work event. Everyone literally has the same amount of chance to get to leaderboard. No energy is required so even new players get a chance. Plus you can get put into a room with new players and get to discover more friends. This is one of the only events that STS makes a very fair claim. If you find it irrelevant i understand but try and understand that some players like an off-topic from the actual game. Also I would like to see some feedback from potential other events.
But I am liking your thoughts on this matter.

And you are right! But i don't even want that banner. I don't like the looks of "original" shaped banners. Secondly as i said everybody does not have time to run events 15-20 hours a day. That's nice. Maybe my hour estimate was too big but still.. even 3-4 hours a day can be very difficult for most people. My point is that nobody else get anything from that event than lb runners. There are 100 (?) LB spots at gauntlet event. So what does other few hundred/thousand people get? Nothing.
@nabhunter your point is basically clearless. If you do not find the grind to be important, it doesn't mean it shouldn't be enforced.. if you find this event useless then you may continue with your ordinary routine, but people find this interesting. Your point is that no one gets anything... right? Well you get experience, helpful friends, some tokens, an exciting chance to find a guild, kraag being fulled by people(my real point), and also a lot of twinks out in the open. This might help to pvp because people moght bring out their rusty twinks and polish them for gauntlet. Then they will try pvp. This will lead into more pvp brakets and a lot of people benefit. But I do agree, that it is a grind, which is why it is called an EVENT
