Awakening gems...

Hey all, a question about Awakening. What do the gems we craft do? Thanks for any help.

So the blue ones we craft, and the red ones you buy do the same thing, however the red have a better chance at opening a new slot on your whachamagig.
The blue ones can still open new slots, and I've even had the red 5k initial one open a new slot the first time I awakened my doohickey.

The Large,Medium and Small fragment can be crafted into Awakening Gems which can be sold for 22k each

Blue ones can be farmed, they got less chance to open a new slot. Also the chance of stacking the same enchantments is less than the red ones.

Red ones are able to buy w plat or buy them from the Auction, the red ones have more chance to open a slot and also more chance at stacking the same enchantment.

However there's a diff between red and blue, this doesn't mean they always open faster by red! It's random and looted by luck.
