Hello all, and welcome to the Clash of the Couples – an epic 2v2 FFA-oriented PvP tournament destined to reveal the true dynamic duo of PvP. Test your skills against formidable opponents in this electrifying PvP competition and rise to the top!

Tournament Style:

1. 2v2 FFA
2. Map: Campaign Arenas, Forest Fight!
3. Any combination of classes is allowed to enter WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SAME-CLASS TEAMS. That is, a team cannot consist of two mages, two bears, two birds, etc.
4. Matches are best 3 of 5. That is, a maximum of 5 games can be played. The first team to win 3 games advances to the next round.
5. Each individual game is played to the standard 10 kills.

How To Enter:

1. In this thread, post the in-game names of your team and classes.
2. You must designate one captain to be responsible for communication.
For example: Ghost (Captain) - Mage, RandomPlayer - Rhino

Rules:

1. Players may NOT start a game until all players have said "Go." That is, each individual game (not just the first game of the match) requires that all players say go.
2. Players cannot change classes. If your team consists of a bear and a bird in one match, you cannot use a different class for a different match. Choose wisely.
3. Screenshots (or some form of proof) of each individual game must be posted to this thread or directed to me in order to advance to the next round. Failure to provide proof will not result in a win.
4. All obstacles in the arena are permitted. That is, there is no penalty for using trees.
5. If a player leaves during a game, the game may continue as a 2v1. If both players of a team leave after everyone has said "Go", that will result in one game loss. Screenshots are required in this case.
6. NO VANITIES ALLOWED
7. Failure to follow these rules will result in disqualification.
8. Please be respectful and have good sportsmanship. If any team does not act accordingly to my discretion, it will result in disqualification and bans from future tournaments.

EDIT ON TREES:

I want to address an issue that many have asked about recently –

In the event that a team "abuses" the tree, they will be DQed. I know if I don't specify what "abuse" means then people will get pissed at me, so please read carefully.

You are abusing the match if, for example, it's the beginning of the match and you simply sit behind the tree with buffs ready to go. You are abusing the use of trees if it's midgame, both teams are buffed and ready to fight, and you sit behind the trees. Basically, don't be a bad sport and we won't have a problem. I have no problem with people using trees if it's mid-battle (fleeing to a tree to help regen), or maybe strategically using a tree mid-battle to off-set a skill from an opponent.

In other words: DON'T PLAY LIKE A SITTING DUCK. If there are any issues regarding this, I will DQ teams to my discretion (I will always ref any games that display such behavior). Be a good sport. You can use the trees, but don't live in them.

Prizes:

PvP Tournament Champion Shields awarded to the winning team!

The winners of the tournament will receive a gold prize. The gold prize is to be determined – the more teams we have, the bigger the prize (so spread the word). It will be a sizable, lofty prize that is to be split evenly between the winning team. I am accepting any donations (gold, items, vanities) to go towards the prize.
