I think maybe instead of a shield, we make use of what new players are already used to -- tapping on the yellow quest Exclamations and Question marks.

So my suggestion is a monk-like, acolyte-like helper character with a Blue or Green ? above their heads, a la:

Tapping on players with this over their heads would bring up the chat window, either in a directed chat directly at the Helper, or in a global chat, visible to the whole Town or Instance. If it's global, perhaps it can appear as:

Q: Can you help me?

to distinguish it from other chat. I actually thought a private conversation might be better, as newbies might not know how to chat, but then what happens if the Helper is busy...?

Anyways, as a badge or avatar, you could have this:

Im not enterin the contest cause i dont have photo bucket but just putttin this out there. So far there all just differnt shields with ? Marks on them. If i was a judge i would like to see somethin different lol its goin to be hard to judge to see who made the best question mark. Just sayin. Also im not sayin the people who entereds desighs are bad

Well I think we overall decided we like the question mark idea based off people will be asking us questions for help ya know! I understand what you mean though it would be interesting to see what others have thought up

Picking a color of shield would be awesome. I'm liking Fryces idea and Mastercons so far. Except master con you might want to change the water drop into a regular period.

I just had an epic idea. What about duel wielding question marks? Somebody could draw this, but it would be much more creative than some ordinary shield. It would make us look like ninjas!

Also, since purple seems to catch the eye of most people. Why not borrow the Nuri Glyph design, put a question mark on the chest and head, replacing the glyph engravings.

EDIT: OH WAIT! This was for a logo. Forget my babbling.

hey for the dual question marks, u could use two rapiers, but take out the grip so it looks like a question mark. well kinda.

Teehee I decided to go even further and make a little comic for the AoA! A special thanks to Mayeve, an enchantress who gladly volunteered to be in the screenshot! Btw, I like your idea Fryce, I really do! ALOT!

However this thread is for the logo, not the actually ingame detail. But still, Fryces idea is great! You Ambassadors should add that in!
