No, you cannot both be a sub and be on a team at the same time. This gives players two chances at receiving a winner's shield or the runner's up prize which would be unfair to others.

Every team can have a sub, but the sub cannot be on any other team than the one they are on. The sub may also play up to 3 of the 4 rounds in the tournament if need be. Remember though, every player (including the sub) must play at least one round in the tournament in order to receive their team's prize of either runner up or winner's shield.

There are both pros and cons to having a sub, so teams will have to choose whether or not to have one. It's completely optional.

This is correct. If the sub plays zero matches, no prize will be given to that player should the team receive the winner's shields or the runner's up jackpot.
