Question about Luck Elixir

So.

Lets assume that I am getting a pink drop from the boss.

Does the re-roll take part in this and if it does how will it change the drop? If it takes part in it would it change the item to more rare item?

If I had as for an example Vampiric Leather, would it be changed into Sanguine Leather? Or is it changing randomly to even more rare pink? Or just randomly changes into other pink?

I would be pissed if I had Sanguine Leather and it changes into pilgrim hat.

Just asking because I am considering to try it but I would love to know if it actually helps.

For every drop you get, you also get a second roll.
Than these two items are compared and you will get the one of greater RARITY.
The rarity is propably determined by the droprate for this specific item.

Noone knows what the exact droprates are, or if they are different for each pink, or set/non-set items, but I assume they aren't (haven't been playing much to make observations, but I think the price gap it simply due to that sanguine is a set item)

So if you get a pink and also reroll a pink you can get (randomly) either of those.
