Feedback - Auto-attack Targeting

Why does it seem that whenever I hit auto-attack it targets the *farthest* enemy away from me? I mean, even when I have a nice beckoned clump on the wall and I miss a straggler who's across the room, auto-attack targets the one guy on the other side of the room from me instead of the nice group of guys that are within arm's reach?

Is there a possible bug with the auto-attack system?
How exactly does the system choose the target?

Been wondering the same thing, also ill be walking at a guy and it targets someone way behind me. Maybe take the players direction into account for who to attack

It might be targetting the mob with the lowest hp. I manually target a mob if i target a straggler with auto

I member rushing a mob once, hit auto and shooting at a chest down the hall while getting worked over like a punchingbag. I took a screenie but later thought, nah it's prolly just me..
