Battleground

I only noticed today that the extra damage(damage reduction which exists in normal pvp)in battlegrounds was removed. I think people prefered guild battle grounds the way they were before, since everybody had almost equal chances because everybody could onecombo everybody. Since battlegrounds are displayed everywhere and count as guilds against guilds, equal chances would be more welcome than letting the one with better gear win, so is it possible to remove the restrictions that were implemented or at least have a no dmg reduction mode for battlegrounds?
