This is what I personally would suggest you:

Happiness Buff
If you want to go for pure damage HB, go for Electra.
If you want defensive stats, I suggest heroic fenris for low bedget, for medium budget ADB/Lancelot and for high budget Arcanite Shoggot.

Base Pet
For Base pet I suggest Heroic Oswald, heroic oswald has a “secret” damage buff as soon as it reaches max level.
If you like to stun/paralyze your enemies, go for breeze.
If you prefer to bounce them away, go for the silver noe (sorry i do not know the name) or for gourdy.

Arcane Ability
Finally for AA, I suggest either, if low budget, werewiger, gyrm/ribbit or Shade and Surge. If you budget is around 10m, go for glow/ nekro. If you have a good as unlimited budget, go for seirian, arc werewiger or gueni .
