I uninstalled game then reinstalled, patching was aborted.

After installing again it seems to be ok now.
Not sure if that's what fixed it but seems a lot better now. Both devices were affected so maybe it was due to internet. I'll just wait and see how it goes.

Sounds like network issues between you and the servers.
I'm having the same issue when using either my phone or may notebook.
I'd get a good 220 ms then will suddenly jump to 30k or so then will pause on that for a good 5 secs then drops back to 300-ish.
What's puzzling is any other online games being played at that time got really low ping and no lagging issues throughout the day.
Speedtests show I got a good 3ms and stable 24Mbps u/d speeds on wifi (fibre).
It's just sad that there seems to be no resolution on this. #justmytwocents

Speed tests are irrelevant - what matters is the exact route between you and the servers. You're overseas from us, so quite likely there's network congestion.
Is against ToS tobuse VPN like Kasperksy or ExpressVPN @@Futumsh ? This seems to solve the lagging issue.

You can use a VPN to play, but not to do plat offers.
Never did plat offers so that won't be a problem. Thanks!
The main problem is probably your Internet connection
