Getting a drop before the boss is dead?

Happens all the time! Not only bosses drop loots, so if you just so happened to kill an enemy, then you will sometimes get loots. Also, I have gotten loots from chests too.

One of the bosses in fang drops just before he dies(the fat one) if this is what your taking about it's normal

possibly a bug maybe. i would throw a thread in tech issues forum about it and i bet JSL would have an answer for ya
