They, or a bug, might have pulled it from the store. It was an issue with the dodo dragon too.

@Piosidon Welcome to Ze Club! I know you'll love this game. Add Mawthy and I'll hook ya up with some gemsthe reason you can't buy more habitats is because there is a lame habitat limit. You might notice when you go into the habitat section of the store, there is a x/z number at the bottom of each habitat. That is your current # of habitats/possible you can get. The cap increases each time you level up, so you'll have a zoo in no time.
The gem island is available at level 13, I believe, but it is here to stay, so you have plenty of time.
Check out the DragonVale wiki, in google, it has a lot of good suggestions

I only bought gems to buy Epic Breeding Island. It's worth the 5 bucks IMO.
Haven't spent a dime yet, it takes a little more time and patience, but still fun!
Questions:
How do you unlock more islands?
What sort of dragons should I buy?
What can I breed with the plant, fire, or earth dragon?

Level up. Every time you level up a little thing will pop up saying you hit the next level, read what you've unlocked each time. You'll unlock another island at each of these level: 1, 10, 16, 20, 25, 30. So at max level (30) you can have up to 6.
Only buy the ones that cost gold (primaries). Breed the rest. It depends, if you wanna go for gold, pick dragons that earn a higher gold rate, and belong to a habitat that can hold more gold (For example, a Large Air habitat can only hold a max of 10K, while a Large Earth can hold a max of 75K and is also much cheaper). Ice and earth are the best choices IMO. (Don't waste your time with plant, 500 gold is max so I only have 1 habitat).
