The correct answer should be 24

He can make 5 cigars

The one butt falls off of each cigar

Which makes another cigar

But after he smokes that one, a butt falls off

Which means he can smoke all of them, except for 1

It can be 6, because u asked HOW MANY BUTTS

and, on the 6th cigar, a butt will fall off

Which makes 24 cigar butts
