Exclamation Today in History - Feb 23, 1978: A Tie at the Grammys

The only tie in grammy history was the for the Best Song award (for 1977). The tie was between "(evergreen) Love Theme from A Star is Born" by Barbara Streisand and "You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone.

Interesting side-note... "Love Theme..." was written by Paul Williams, who has an amazing pedigree of songwriting success. He wrote great songs like "Just an Old Fashioned Love Song" (Three Dog Night), "We've Only Just Begun" and "Rainy Days and Mondays" (Carpenters), and even the theme songs from the TV shows "Love Boat" and "The Muppet Show"!!

But to me... he'll always be Little Enos Burdette from the movie "Smokey and the Bandit" lol!!
