Default Nucleotides of DNA - need help

I know that G pairs with C and A with T, but I know that half of those nucleotides are longer than the others, which is why it formed a double helix. The problem is i don't know which ones are longer. A and G? Or T and C?

google search did not help for me

Longer in terms of what? I'm a visual learner:

I know that adenine and guanine are 'larger' and that Wiki backs me up: The larger nucleobases, adenine and guanine, are members of a class of double-ringed chemical structures called purines; the smaller nucleobases, cytosine and thymine (and uracil), are members of a class of single-ringed chemical structures called pyrimidines.

Maybe ask the question that you're tring to answer directly.
