End game gear

I am new to playing star legends. I am currently a level 23 engineer (a level 1 three days ago), and I had a question about end game gear. I've heard they drop a lot, so I was wondering if I should get regular and work toward crafted (I don't have many credits), or get the platinum gear (which has the same stats, the ones that I have seen so far) or is the regular level 40 gear un-crafted set good enough? I don't plan on PvPing, so it would just be for PvE.

Also, is there a reason why amour is so high in this game? I've seen people with almost a 1.000 amour! In PL, the max I've seen was about 250.

Stats, money, etc are much different in SL. They're both different games.

As per armor, if you're not gonna pvp, just go with the non custom set.

Since you're playing an engineer you might want to use a shield/pistol so you won't take much damage and die as fast

For PVE normal Sets does cool
I have A level 40 enginner
With Normal Lv40 Runtech Set
And as Weapon usually LV40 Chaos Breather (non custom)
As Shield you Can use
Any lv40 Shields
But I prefer lv35 Platinum Shields
Only 5Plats(use free offers)
If you want to be a real FIGHTER engineer use The Crit shield(plat)
And if you want to be a HEALER engineer..use The Blackstar Shield(Plat)

Actually, for Level 40/41 Engi pvp the plat set is way better then both custom and non-custom runetech sets.

hmmm... I still have a bit before level 40. I'm only a 27 now. I guess I'll have some time to choose which way I'll go. I'm amazed on how cheap the uncrafted sets are! Less than a 100 gold for a helmet!
