Crafted Lvl 65 Orlok Shield&Sword set provides you with a huge amount of armor, and a good amount of damage.

Is the gold armor better then Crafted Lvl 65 Orlok? I'm not sure what the gold armor is called or if it is quest armor?

Gold armor is a vanity one.. The one u get when u reach LvL66.. It gives no stats, except if u have another elite vanity

Crafted orlok is your best bet, especially in Ctf and FFA cases. However, if you really want to have fun like twinking, try out the sanguine crossbow (crafted) set. Fun kiting people...but if you're ready to take a slight drop in kill/death ratio :-D
