A LVL 17 Nukist Guide :)
Hey guys, alot of people wanted to know my build for my LVL 17 Nukist mage, so here it is.
Attribute points
Strength - 1
Dexterity - 56
Int - 33
Any other Nukist would go pure dex, but against skilled 12-17 dexbears, you need that extra shot of mana.
Skill points
Gear
At the moment, I find having three different loadouts is very useful.
The Armor loadout consists of:
LVL 15 Artisans Reinforced Leather
LVL 10 Sniper's Archery Cap
LVL 15 Festive Toy Man Wand
LVL 10 Sniper's Avian Wing
LVL 10 Fine Golden Band of Technique
In this loadout, you get 37 armour, which is a good amount against 17 dexbears.
The Dmg Loadout consists of:
LVL 14 Jewel Thiefs Dark Forest Leather
LVL 10 Sniper's Archery Cap
LVL 15 Festive Toy Man Wand
LVL 10 Sniper's Avian Wing
LVL 10 Fine Platinum Band of Bravery
This loadout is good against other mages, or perhaps even lvl 12 dexbears. KITING IS KEY
The Regen loadout consists of:
LVL 10 Dreamers Elven Helmet
LVL 10 Fire wand of Mastery (or the other Plat Pack wand)
LVL 10 Dreamers Cloth Armor
LVL 10 Magic Shield of Mastery (or the other Plat Pack shield)
LVL 10 Fine Platinum band of Technique
This loadout is SOLELY for Mana regen, as the M/S should go to about 13. DO NOT FIGHT WITH THIS!
Tactics and Combos
This is my Skill Map, you may change to preference though
Tactics
Against Dexbears: When first starting off, do the whole Drain - Ice - Lightning - Fire combo to take away 1/4-1/2 of their health. Then, stay a good distance away from them throughout the match, be sure to only use skills when you have the Frost - Lightning - Fire skills ready to use. Try not to spam skills, this DOESNT work.
- Be sure to always get that combo
- Always stay out of their range of Stomp. You dont ned to worry about if they are kiting you with an Xbow, just freeze and move on.
- When it seems the match is coming to a close, fully nuke them, but focus on healing and draining in case their rage pops on again
Remember, matches may take a long time, so priority time of attack is when they are backing away to let their Rage cooldown reset.
Against Skilled mages
Depending on what armor they are using, try going with my Armor loadout, but with the Damage ring included instead of armor.
- These fights may last a long time, so be sure to routinely heal throughout
- Getting the Combo is essential!
- On any mage with less than 32 armor, the combo will take away a large chunk of their health, so be sure to ALWAYS have Auto on them
Against Birds
As of the bear and mage, routinely heal after they debuff you, as these could cost you the match. In terms of combos against a bird, use the nuke loadout, and if they look half-decent,try and kite until they have no buffs and mana left.
Additional Tips
While using my armor build, if the fight lasts over a minute or so, you will most likely have little mana left. For this, I suggest looking for a mana orb. If the map doesnt have orbs, wear the regen loadout, and run from your enemy for about 8-10 seconds, and quickly switch back, and nuke the living daylights out of them.
If you see a LVL 12 Dexbear with an autobow, you wont need to kite, because it will only take about 2 combos to kill them
While doing a combo against a bear, focus on when you think the opponent is going to stomp. Analyze whether you are in range. If you are, firestorm him back, if you aren't, freeze him. (This meaning he will try to stomp out of the freeze, then you can get him)
Stomp and Nightmare are the Nukists worst enemy, so be sure to kite them, and heal REGULARLY!
