Screen shot him offering that. I'm waiting to hear back from devs about it, but I'm pretty sure this is in no way allowed or acceptable.

We should stand up for the safety of of those who would "naively" give their account info away. Especially younger people who probably can't buy platinum except through their parents. What a mess it would be if someone actually bought ALOT of platinum on someone's account. I guess it could be refunded, but man, I just keep seeing the 13 or 14 year old's parents getting hit with a big draft from their bank account because of that.

Anyways, I think the good community of PL should shun those trying this, legitamately or scamming!

True. But he was charging 10 plat for 100K so why bother wasting your gold and time?

That should be the actual conversion rate in game. Somewhere around 10 plat for 100k, instead of the the ridiculous rate it is at now.

The victims are tempted by the free stuff they "think" they're getting. Because of a lot of tempt, they don't think of te precautions of taking something free very easily. Therefore, they face the consequences.

It's still not an acceptable thing to do. If dev's wanted you to be able to get platinum for an in game currency cash in, they would have put it that way.

So the people (like me) who jut can't afford it beause of the economy should just bit be able to play past level 13 even if they would spend money if they could? I believe that you should make platinum tradeable...

Well think about it then, if platinum was tradable, we would have a new currency, and items would cost let's say, 20 platinum, no one would necessarily care about gold as much and the ones who before couldn't afford platinum for expansions now can't afford platinum for trade. It's almost like starting over with 0 currency. Also, remember, it's a company, they need to make decent money to keep the game around and make new updates.

But Nostero its a free to play game man. They have to make money. Tradeable platinum would ruin everything. No other game can you pay $10 and get this kind of quality of gameplay as an MMO for your mobile devices. If you can't afford Starcraft 2... it doesn't mean you should still have the right to be able to download it for free, play the game, and trade your ladder ranking in for the game itself.
