Any vanity armor or shield have def?

there is a lvl61, and 66 vanity, if u have those it will give 8+ def if u have both, or u could also have lvl56 helm,lvl61 shield, and lvl66 armor (vanity) u will get even bigger def, if u have 2 max lvl items you'll get a bonus

Those are for elite cap, the L56 and L61 can't be gotten now!! I think Founders helm and shield help!!

The only way to get defense through a vanity armor if with the combination of two or more elite vanities that were obtained at the level 56, 61 and 66 caps. The only one that can be obtained is the 66 mt fang armor, but it doesn't provide any armor stats on its own.
