Spamming "Q"

If you spam the "Q" button while in town, you will get this weird red ring around your character. Im not too sure what its used for so i assumed it may be a bug?

Ah, "Q" is one of your special skills I think. It is a shortcut key for one of your skills.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Edit:

"Q" drains you when the skull glows up red middle right of the screen.
