Default Any difference in weapon types?

Any point in equipping a sword over a mace or vice versa? I see a lot have the same stats so just curious.

Seems like the only difference is cosmetic, if the stats are equal.

While it appears that the only difference is cosmetic, I dont believe theres been any real testing on this. It is possible, and would be nice, if different style weapons had varying range, knockdown/knockback chance, chance to hit multiple targets...

Maybe swords let more blood leak out and maces stun? That'd be a great advantage to know.

I agree with rhino that different weapons should have effects of some sort. And partly disagree with glutt in that each level only has one type of bonus. It is possible he was just using vigor as an example power and if so then nm lol

And I do have weapons that proc an ice effect after i hit a combo. They just do not seem to work in pvp
