After 12 hours of gameplay...
I started at level 1 and reached level 40 in about 12 hours. Nothing special but it's my first character.
I used multi-enhancers the whole way of anyone was wondering.
Now the big question is, should I go for the vanity cap? Is there any word on when the next level cap increase will be?

Well I think level cap should take less time than that at that rate... if you got the plat, go ahead.

If it took 12Hours to reach 40 it won't take THAT much more time, the Xp is is the same. Just harder runs.

If this helps, I found that when leveling from 38/39/40, I did about 1000 xp per hour without elixirs. So the 28,000 to get to 41 would be 28 hours without elixirs. If you used elixirs, you can do the math and see how long it would take you to get to 41 and whether it would be worth it for yourself.
