Whats wrong with disabling something that is causing more trouble generally? bombarding your chat log and covering your screen, and not to mention that pets are unintelligent that have the tendency to prioritize picking up trash instead of staying in range and attack enemies.

Why not, would rather have them remove barrel hit boxes entirely, i can live without the 19g those drop and instead not shoot my all-powerful-matter-disintegrating-turbo-aimed-shot at a few planks with 400 grams of iron holding it together

I agree and would also love to see an option to chose pet priority, for example if you're running Hauntlet and only care about your pet picking up things that drop like energy versus event where pet should focus on enemies.
