So...now we have four seemingly different games under the masthead of Spacetime Studios. If we were to look closer they are all re-skinned versions of PL. Same mechanics. Same currency systems. Same levelling hierarchy.

Is SS spreading itself too thin? More than likely. Is SS causing gamer burnout much like triple A console devs by releasing a new game every six months? Absolutely. Will their buisness model crumble under the weight of "too many games, not enough updating, poor execution". Probably not, given the devotion fanboys/girls slather unto them.

At this juncture, it's a wait and see scenario to manifest any decision whether the hype is greater than the content. Let's hope SS can innovate gameplay, character design, and the reward vs. risk dynamic.

Well, SL already seems to be crumbling to a certain extent. I don't have any facts to back that up, but it hasn't been updated in a long time and I know a lot of people who just kinda stopped playing it (myself included). I can't really tell how DL is doing. Myself, I'm almost at the level cap, but it's just from offline missions, and I haven't actually played it much at all. It seems to have less of a social aspect to it, which makes me wonder if it will last.

I'm optimistic about AL though. I'll certainly give it a try.

This seems like it's going to be their best yet? I've played PL for quite a long time, didn't really like SL, DL is keeping my interest thus far, and AL I'm fairly anxious to play. Already reserved my character name.
