For the vular bug dropz your best having Miners luck or 25% luck on as they are pink dropz, I got both mine from chests, one in volaria 4 and one in Volaria 5.

It's not just you. I honestly think the system of vanity drops are biased towards beta players and a random selection of people [who will get multiple x-ray drops without trying or have gathered the full selection by just leveling, or will get multiple drops from some new event], the others are just going to have to suck it up.

System is repulsed by the idea of me getting a vanity drop [I have seen two in all of my levelling/farming, neither were mine] so I've given up hope on "luck".

I been playing about a year and have gotten 2 vanity drops. Mech and xray. I know people that have gotten many times more and started the same time i did. I don't think it's biased, but i had to grind numa for months to get those 2, while it seemed my other friend could just show up and bam! Get a vanity. I think it is mostly right place, right time, right roll on the loot table. And some get better rollsthen others do. Maybe they get a bunch of good rolls under the first 100k kills, and some get a good roll 1x every 100k kills, and possibly there are people that may need to be at 500k kills for their first vanity drop.

Idk, this is speculation. I can tell you first hand persistence pays off. I ran whole numa 2x a day every day for months to get the couple drops i got.

since you started talking bout other vanity, i would like to offer 325k on your Mecha if you still have it.

It seems to me that the easiest way to farm non-vular vans is to get a luck elix and go lower dungeons which don't have purples, but greens (such as pirate boss) - then, with reroll you should get vans for greens..

Can't check it myself as I'm totally busy with wrighting my course of lectures on digital media marketing >_<
