Favorite Bible verse?

Since it is Sunday I thought it might be fitting to share my favorite Bible verse which is 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believers in Speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."

Ya this shouldn't be against the rules...I just checked and didn't see anything. Nothing wrong with posting favorite quotes from the bible, it's not like it goes and insults anyone. People are free to choose their own religion. Let the mods handle what belongs on the forums, Paar.

Wow! disrespect. I'm baffled why several of you think this thread can be offensive. It's one thing to argue about religion and impose our beliefs, and another thing to simply discuss it. This thread is not in any way provoking a debate on religion, it's simply a thread on Bible Verses. If you are offended by a group of people talking about their religion then you have a problem, and you're the one offending them by imposing religious censorship in a topic that clearly does not involve overlapping views versus other religions. If we start talking about the issue on gay marriage, politics, abortions, divorce, etc. from point of view of Christians, then that demands censorship, but this one is clearly not the case. Your statements imply that there are people that will actually admonish the the Bible itself or mere discussion of it. We're not imposing our religion, don't limit us, if anyone should attack this thread or Christianity itself, I'll make sure people here and outside of this forum will see it. Bring it.

I think the confusion about what is allowed and what isn't stems from past posts that have been "disruptive" and been closed due to the disruption or the non-constructive nature of the post that were religious in nature. You know, stuff that is inflammatory. That's not to say that all religious discussion isn't allowed, just that it is a topic that tends to be volatile, along with other more controversial topics (like say, talking about abortion or politics).

So, no worries. Please post what you like and feel are within the real of our forum rules. If people see stuff they feel is in violation of the rules, they can hit the "report post" button to notify our moderation team and we'll sort it out.
