What lvl is the best lvl for pvp?

Also what class should i pick? I have not made a character since i thought i might pick the wrong one.

I would be interested also. What levels do most people play at for twinks. I have been 10 for the PVP contest, but after I might stick around and move to a different level. 17 looked fun, as they were having some good 5/5 wars, but maybe 22 is good also, I just could not see them. That might be fun for me because you get all the skill, but economy of skill is important.

Before gcd I'd say 20 bear. That was always my favorite. But now 12-17 is very hostile and I suggest you be very thick skinned about rushing and trash talking. Other wise go 51, it's pretty mature there.

Endgame is where most highly skilled players are at and where ctf still means capture the freaking flag (well, in most cases...).
Other than that I am really enjoying 50-61 PvP. All classes are fairly balanced and Sewer gear allows for a vast number of possible builds.
At low levels I find combat to be quite monotonous and the low regen annoys me.

I have to disagree. While you can spend 20 million for the best set, you can fair against those sets with 200k. Tbh, dont know of a set worth 1-1.4m at 56.

51 is my favorite pvp zone. A bird with dodge face, dodge ring, and sentinel set will be nearly invincible with the right combos and skill allocation (source-gaunab)

The issue I have with high level PVP is that there are too many skill points, so there is no need for the testing part to ensure the best selection (which I really enjoy) and the insane damage. I was in the level 65 mage PVP contest and those fights are a split second at most, because health does not scale nearly at fast as damage does in this game.

At 16, you're gonna be better off using 15 Artisan or Expert, which is what? 900-1.4? So 16 is pretty pricy too...

I'd say out of the 3 you listed, I would go with 21 rather than 20, and be a talon bear as it's the easiest to grasp. Get 21 SSC armor, and buy a 20 legendary pack for talon, wing, and the helm (SSC armor has -1 hit, +2 armor, when compared to the item pack one) IIRC the pack is 30P (maybe 40?). Or you can go to 22 and be a Mage (you get both blessings at 22), however bear is quite a bit easier to use. IMO, at level 10 and 15, too much luck is involved.

Personally, I like 56. I've been playing at that level for quite a while and I'd say it's my favorite, however it can be expensive. I prefer the higher levels of PvP, since there's a lot more builds and combinations as Gau said. At lower level PvPer, it's pretty much cookie cutter builds. You can try out level 30, and 45 if you're trying to not spend too much. Both are relatively cheap (30 is maybe 40K, and 45 can vary from 10K to 250K depending on your build).

Who is your character, because I am a 10, and I enjoy being rushed by 12's. Maybe we can get a feud going. (Don't get jealous though, I have quite a few feuds going on right now because I am practicing for the tourney)

12 and 17 most fun, 12 is cheaper you could get a fine 2:1 kdr with 500k.
17 needs for like art/exp 15 750k and some nice gear on that level could go up to 3m a piece, but 1m should be enough unless u want a snowball launcher.

Level 10 isn't good because you have less of a chance to kill higher levels.
Level 12 is good because you can join level 7 and not have higher levels join.
Level 15 is good because you can join level 10 games and have an advantage against lower levels.
Level 17 is good because you can join level 12 games and use iron blood against lower levels.
I don't know anything about level 20, sorry.
When you want to pick a class you should decide what is best at that level.
Bears are the most popular because they have rage.
Mages are good for nuking, supporting, or kiting.
Birds are good for tanking with high dodge.

10 just sucks unless u have founders' like me.
12 is beast cuz u can do high splatter with a snowball + splash combo and with talon alot more slashes.
17>16 like 80% cuz of the 1 slash.
15 is good if ur very rich and can afford pink level 15 winter fest 2010 items.

Most highly skilled players? Honestly? Sure Endgame may have a few more buttons but "skilled players" are found at every level. Endgame players come to low level all the time for things like tournaments and get trashed by the locals. Don't think that because you can do endgame PVP that you can just waltz on in to low level and do well.

As for the thread, low level is not very nice. Like Advicatus said, be thick skinned... Try level 15 first.
