Why do people chase the lvl71 elite cap as quick as possible?

Why do people chase the elite cap so quickly? Humania has been out a couple of days and I can see level 71's.

Is there a reason why people do this? New cap is still months out, there is so much more time.

Most if not all the 71 are pvp'er so finish campaign mode is pointless to the. Also it gives them on extra skill point, 5 attribute points and bragging rights.

Some people are pvp players and they want the extra advantages that they will have. Others do it for the bragging rights. And there are those who are afraid that they might miss out on the elite vanity if they don't get it fast. The last one is a result of the short time that there was between nuris release and the fang release. (less than 3 months) I rushed to cap in fang because that.

To get it over with and not have to worry about it last minute, the same way others worry if they'll make the cut or not. There wouldnt have been as many 66's last time if not for double xp, damage, 1/2 off pots etc. it's their money, so they can do as they please with it. Everyone was curious as to what the elite vanity would be, to much disappointment, and off it'd set with the older pieces, again to much disappointment.

The same people dying to know all this info, are the same ones pointing out the reasons as to why people rush to cap.

We sacrifice our time, plat and even sleep to give you the heads up of what's gonna happen later in the cap. Not really! I just enjoy sporting a helm and title only five other people have! Makes sitting in town a whole lot more fun,

As one who was right there on the front lines, I can tell you from my perspective. I was one who was chasing it as well, but sleep got the best of me lol. Not only is it for having the gear and added stats asap for us pvpers but.... Lol most of us are so competitive that any challenge gets us going. The minute rush heard saycred was trying for it, it was on... You should have seen them lmao. Both of them demolishing balefort, cutting any little corner space... Lmao it was something to see. Around 2am I couldn't stay up any longer so I logged and slept with rush intending on staying up all night. Apparently, I missed the best part because Rush started falling asleep while playing and started running into walls. Saycred told him many times just to go to bed lol but the competitor inside wouldn't allow it. So he kept leveling until he woke up with his bird running against a wall hours later lmao.

I've always had something to do.
I've always gotten the cap.

Why do people compete in sprints? They have plenty of time to get to the end of the 100 meters. They are gonna be at that track and field event like all day anyway.

I think some people do it cuz they can and if have the endurance, drive (and plat) to be one of the first people to 71 then you get a sense of achievement from doing it and also if you PvP then you can go back to what you enjoy.

(I am not rushing to cap in humania, but I think that is the reason)

I agree, it's simply because we can...I just hit level cap a couple of hours ago so...anyway, this is not the first time I hit cap early (but this is my earliest)...and It has been integral to how I play the game. I cap early, so I won't have to think about it anymore (and the bragging rights and leaderboard for my guild for automatic marketing), so I then proceed doing other stuff like farming, merching, sometimes pvp, helping out newbies, manage my guild (currently inactive guild but plan to revive)...it boils down to how you play the game...

Love hearing peoples stories about grinding as long as they can bear...really cool Thx for sharing that. I hate when you're playing & start passing out from being sleepy-tired...especially when you start getting killed. lol
