As for your issue, I had the same problem. Try uninstalling the app, turn off your device, turn it back on, then reinstall PL. Worked for me, hope it does for you!

Ive had same problem. Turns out it was my connection.
Are u using wifi, 4g, or 3g? I was using 3g I had too find a wifi to update, with wifi updating the game was no problem. Once u update even with 3g u can play the game fine. Its only the updateing of the game that always gives me an issue.
